We are a church that looks to the Bible as the authoritative Word of God and as our prime resource; that looks to Jesus Christ as its Lord and only Saviour; and looks to the powerful Holy Spirit to bring life and transformation.
Under the Bible & the Lordship of Christ & in the Holy Spirit, we are:
- A church that loves its Lord: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart,” Mark 12:30
- A church that loves its members: “Love each other as I have loved you,” John 15:12
- A church that loves its neighbours and the wider world: “Love your neighbour as yourself,” Mark 12:31
In love for God we:
- Worship him wholeheartedly.
- Pray boldly and persistently.
- Obey the Bible increasingly.
In love for one another we:
- Exercise practical and spiritual pastoral care for one another.
- Use our gifts in service for the greater good of the church.
- Meet together consistently.
In love for our neighbours and our world we:
- Show care and concern for those in our area – particularly the poor and disadvantaged.
- Build real friendships with those around us.
- Pray for our community and the world.
- Actively engage with worldwide missions.
- Speak the gospel to them.
